2019 | A Year of Prayer
Starting on the first Sunday in January 2019, we’ll begin a church-wide, year long study on prayer.
To lead our church family toward growing in trust and dependence on the Lord, for 2019 we will focus on becoming a praying church. At the end of the year, we will be people who pray regularly, not just by ourselves, but also with and for one another while we are together on campus at Central before and after worship and class, on the sidewalk, in the aisle, over the phone throughout the week, writing prayers via email, etc.
To lead our church toward this, we will ask the whole church to memorize one prayer passage every three months. We will make times for people to say the prayer on video and show it in worship service, we have people say it in class, etc. We will ask those who lead public prayers to reword and incorporate those ideas in their prayers as well.
January to March | Ephesians 1:15-23
April to June | Ephesians 3:14-21
July to September | Philippians 1:3-6 | Philippians 1:9-11
October to December | Colossians 1:9-13
In addition, we have a monthly prayer focus as follows:

February | For God’s leadership in all our relationships.
March | For boldness to share and show God’s love.
April | For specific people to know God’s love.
May | For mothers and their children.
June | For fathers to lead as the men God has called them to be.
July | For our nation, freedom and reconciliation in America
