Thanks for your letter and question. It sounds to me like you are on
target. I'm not sure what the question was to which you referred. When a person is
obedient to the Lord in being baptized on the basis of faith and repentance they are added
to the church by the Lord (Acts 2:38-46).
Even if one were not informed of the church, at that point they
would be added to it by the Lord if they made the right moves in obeying Him. One can be a
member of the church and still have many doctrinal errors as did the church in Corinth.
But one must obey the gospel of Christ to get in to begin with.
