Life Stage Groups

Way back in September 2005, Central Church made an important transition in how its fellowship groups and Sunday morning class time are structured! As we approached greater numbers of members, we realized that for spiritual and numerical growth to continue, we must develop a better way for our members to grow in their relationship with God and with each other. 

For us to continue growing, we reshaped our Sunday morning ‘adult class time’ to classes or groups based on life stages. A life stage is “where you are in life” based on things including age, work, having children, etc. From 9:00 until 10:15 AM we meet in Life Stage Groups in different locations around our building to learn and grow together from a shared perspective in life. 

In addition to our Sunday Morning gatherings Life Stage Groups meet together for special events & activities that allow the group members to continue developing their relationships through mutual encouragement, serving the community, & through just having some really good times together as friends. Special events range all the way from larger organized service projects to a small group of people having a last minute lunch.

In the coming months our Life Stage Groups will continue to develop and grow to 1) meet needs unique to where the group members ‘are’ in life, 2) to provide opportunities for serving others in our church family and in our community, and 3) to find practical and fruitful ways in which we can share the good news of Jesus with those who don’t know him yet.
